Some short closed tears to head and tail of spine, with bumping to corners and a small closed tear to bottom corner of rear panel at fold. Very mild age toning to text. Bourdelle fit la connaissance d'Isadora Duncan en 1903, lors d'un banquet donné à Vélizy en l'honneur de Rodin. C'est toutefois à partir de son interprétation d'Iphigénie en Tauride de Gluck, au Théâtre de la Gaîté-Lyrique en 1909 qu'il la découvre. Isadora Duncan devient dès lors l'incarnation même de la danse et l'inspiratrice de la plupart des uvres qu'il dédia à cet art.
