Very Good second impression of the First Edition. 8.25 x 11.25 inches with an unclipped dustjacket protected by brodart sleeve. "SEASONS" is a collection of four lengthy essays (one for each season), written Hal Borland and illustrated by his friend, Les Line's photographs. Both men leaders of environmental journalism. In 1937 Borland began writing for The New York Times, first as a staff writer for The New York Times Sunday Magazine (1937-1943) and then in 1942 as an editorial writer with intimate accounts of Nature for The New York Sunday Times, a position he held until his death in 1978. Les Line was one of the most important magazine editors who ever lived, as "Audubon" editor from 1966 to 1991.
