Drawings by Sir Muirhead Bone (23 March 1876 - 21 October 1953) was a Scottish etcher and watercolourist who became known for his depiction of industrial and architectural subjects and his work as a war artist in both the First and Second World Wars.

Charakteristische Radierung des renommierten schottischen Radierer, Aquarellmaler und Zeichner Muirhead Bone. Aus Sammlung Stinnes (Lugt 1676 a). - Muirhead Bone begann zunächst eine Lehre al…s Architekt, widmete sich dann jedoch der Kunst und studierte an der Glasgow School of Art. Er spezialisierte sich auf Druckgrafiken. Seine Radierungen zeigten oftmals industrielle oder architektonische Objekte, aber auch Landschaften. 1901 ging Muirhead nach London, wo er sich in der Kunstszene etablierte. In der Zwischenkriegszeit unternahm er Reisen u.a. nach Italien, Frankreich und in die Niederlande und präsentierte seine Werke auf zahlreichen Ausstellungen in namhaften Galerien, u. a. in London und New York.
