William "Bobs" Culver Roberts Jr. was the son of a succesful businessman, William Culver Roberts, then-owner and president of the Brooklyn-based Roberts Numbering Machine Company. As gleaned from the title, this book contains his own account (with b/w photographs) of a family vacation to the Mediterranean, including Portugal (where he made a little girlfriend), the Rock of Gibraltar, Cairo, Rome, and Monte Carlo. Sadly, the father to whom Bobs so tenderly dedicated his book passed away two years after its publication.
