The author, Simhah Bunam Szajewicz (1908-ca. 1944) composed the title work while in the Lodz ghetto, and is believed to have died in the camps. The book is comprised of two main poems, "Lekh-Lekha" and "Friling 702". Includes introduction and notes from Polish-Jewish historian Nachman Blumenthal (1902-1983). Also included are facsimile reproductions of pages from the original manuscripts of the poems. Table of contents at the rear. Text in Yiddish. Wrappers with minor rubbing to extremities. Top left corner of the back cover lightly chipped. Interior with age toning to pages. Book block tight. Wrappers in very good-, interior in very good+ condition overall. Protected in modern mylar.
