The author, Simhah Bunam Szajewicz (1908-ca. 1944) composed the title work while in the Lodz ghetto, and is believed to have died in the camps. The book is comprised of two main poems, "Lekh-Lekha" and "Friling 702". Includes introduction and notes from Polish-Jewish historian Nachman Blumenthal (1902-1983). Also included are facsimile reproductions of pages from the original manuscripts of the poems. Table of contents at the rear. Text in Yiddish. Wrappers with minor rubbing to extremities.
