This book is several plates from the sections of this work bound together as a separate volume. The only publication detai…ls present is to the plate I of 'Asia' which states 'published by Harvey and Darton Jan 1 1823'. The title of the works these plates are from and author information of the original text is taken from Copac. Comprising of four plates for Asia, five plates for North Europe, Five plates for South Europe, four plates for Africa, three plates for North America and three plates for South America. There are three images per plate of varying locations worldwide including Jerusalem, Calcutta, Pekin, Geneva and Montreal. In a tooled calf binding . Externally, rubbed to the extremities and spine. Loss to the head of spine. Cracks to the head of both joints. Both hinges are tender. Bookplate to front pastedown with three fleur de lis being held inside a wreath by a woman. Small stamp to bottom of the verso of front endpaper, KD. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front free endpaper, Elizabeth Octavia Beresford 'Hastings' February 1825. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot throughout. Good. None (illustrator). book.
