Nach 5 Ex.auf Japan mit 2 Suiten und 1 Originalzeichnung, 15 Ex.auf Japan mit épreuves sowie 10 Mitarbeiterexemplaren. (Total 130 Ex.) - Text bei Albert Kundig in Genf gedruckt. Die Lithografien bei Kümmerly und Frey in Bern. - In der Gestaltung und Präsentation künstlerisch kühnes, an den Fauves, vor allem dem frühen Maurice Vlaminck und dem deutschen Frühexpressionismus angelehntes Album. Über Henry Bing (1888 - 1965) scheint sehr wenig bekannt zu sein. Bénézit nennt keine biografischen Daten, bezeichnet ihn als "peintre et graveur français travaillant au Xxe siècle" und erwähnt von ihm neben der vorliegenden Arbeit noch eine Folge von 20 Lithografien unter dem Titel "Au camp" von 1917. 1918 stellte Bing zusammen mit Lucien Schwob im Salon Wolfensberger in Zürich aus. Im Handel sind in den letzten Jahren etliche Karikaturen mit deutschen Titeln auf dem Markt angeboten worden. Von 1925 bis 1932 existierte in Paris die Galerie Bing, spezialisiert auf Werke der Fauves und der französischen Moderne. - Der Text von Gonzague de Reynold (1880 - 1970), der 1894 zusammen mit den Brüdern Cingira und Charles Ferdinand Ramuz die Zeitschrift "La voie latine" gründete, war bereits mit mehreren literarischen und wissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichungen hervorgetreten. Die vorliegenden Texte sind Paraphrasen zum Thema des Sees.
