Zustand: Hervorragend. Zustand: Hervorragend | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | This book is a timely and much-needed comprehensive compilation that reflects the development of research on consumption and communication in the conflation of the real and digital worlds, bringing together the current state of thinking about… the phygital reality market and the cutting-edge challenges that are involved. In this book, the term ¿phygital reality market¿ is used, implying that the physical, digital, and virtual realms are fused into one to recognize and understand the market with multiple or mixed realities. The concept of the phygital reality market captures the new realities that consumers are shopping, consuming, and living, and companies are competing within the physical, digital, and virtual marketplaces. The book covers the research on consumption, service, and communication in the phygital reality market and compiles the current state of thinking, challenges, and cases having to do with the acceptance and diffusion of new technologies of phygital reality. The interest in the phygital reality market, such as omnichannel retailing integrating physical stores and online services, has grown hugely over the last two decades, particularly since the coronavirus pandemic. COVID triggered severe social and economic disruption around the world but has accelerated the acceptance and diffusion of new technologies in the phygital reality market, where the physical, digital, and virtual worlds are conflated. Versatile problem solving and new challenges are reflected in the value realization process of innovation ¿ in other words, widespread acceptance and diffusion of devices or services that embody new technologies. The excitement and hype associated with the metaverse have highlighted the need to understand the creation and adoption of new technologies in consumption and marketing, recognition of the foundational role of new technologies in driving consumer behavior, and marketing theory and practice in value realization as a vital part of the process of digital transformation.

Stiff pictorial wrappers, covers worn,ex-library copy, many b.w. photos, Chinese Hanzi text, 14.3 x 21 cm., usual marks, closed mended tears, text clean, slidly bound. * * FIRST EDITION * * . *** **** *** . . A BIOGRAPHY OF LIN BIAO . . . APPOINTED BY MAO TO LOOK AFTER THE HONG WEI BING . . . […RED GUARD GUARDS] & SUPPORT THE . . . WENHUA DA GEMING [CULTURAL REVOLUTION] . * A biography of Marshall LIN Biao [1907-1971]. . He was a Chinese military general and politician. He was a Marshal of the People's Republic of China, and was pivotal in the Communist victory during the Chinese Civil War, especially in Northeast China from 1946 to 1949. Lin was the general who commanded the decisive Liaoshen and Pingjin campaigns, in which he co-led the Manchurian Field Army to victory and led the People's Liberation Army into Beijing. He crossed the Yangtze River in 1949, decisively defeated the Kuomintang and took control of the coastal provinces in Southeast China. He ranked second among the Ten Marshals. Zhu De and Peng Dehuai were considered senior to Lin, and Lin ranked directly ahead of He Long and Liu Bocheng. . Lin abstained from taking an active role in politics after the war ceased in 1949. He led a section of the government's civil bureaucracy as one of the co-serving Vice Premiers of the People's Republic of China from 1954 onwards, becoming First Vice Premier from 1964. Lin became more active in politics when named one of the co-serving Vice Chairmen of the Chinese Communist Party in 1958. He held the three responsibilities of Vice Premier, Vice Chairman and Minister of National Defense from 1959 onwards. To date, Lin is the longest serving Minister of National Defense of the People's Republic of China. Lin became instrumental in creating the foundations for Mao Zedong's cult of personality in the early 1960s, and was rewarded for his service in the Cultural Revolution by being named Mao's designated successor as the sole Vice Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, from 1966 until his death. . Lin died on 13 September 1971, when a Hawker Siddeley Trident he was aboard crashed in Öndörkhaan in Mongolia. The exact events of this "Lin Biao incident" have been a source of speculation ever since. The Chinese government's official explanation is that Lin and his family attempted to flee following a botched coup against Mao. Others have argued that they fled out of fear they would be purged, as Lin's relationship with other Communist Party leaders had soured in the final few years of his life. Following Lin's death, he was officially condemned as a traitor by the Communist Party. Since the late 1970s, Lin and the wife of Mao, Jiang Qing, have been labeled the two major "counter-revolutionary forces" of the Cultural Revolution, receiving official blame from the Chinese government for the worst excesses of that period. . Above liberally extracted from Wikipedia article. . After he was labeled a 'traitor' by Mao and the party, his name, writings, slogans photos & related were officially expunged from the record. . Finding books with his slogans intact is rare, most are either defaced, his slogans and photos plucked and discarded. Finding his writings, photos and slogans in books are now RARE and seldom found. . *** Color photos are posted to our website. . *** CONDITION: . In den WarenkorbFirst edition in Braille, first printing, one of 500 copies, of this collection of sayings by Lin, published to ensure nobody was exempt from his burgeoning cult of personality. Editions of Lin's writings transformed him into China's number two fountain of ideological wisdom, with a power base that would eventually rival that of… Mao himself. Scarce, with no copies recorded institutionally. The Chinese government had introduced a uniform Chinese Braille system in 1953, and by the mid-1970s there were over 170 organisations in China catering to the blind which all required copies of the latest propaganda publications. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, Beijing mangwen chubanshe (Beijing Braille Press) was one of just two publishers in the country with the facilities to produce Braille books, and it shouldered the task of producing the majority of translations, including the present work. The high cost of production for works in Braille (due to the large quantity of paper required) was subsidized by the state rather than passed on to customers through the retail price, demonstrating the state's determination to ensure that the Cultural Revolution's cult of personality touched all state subjects. This selection of quotations from Lin was first published in Chinese the preceding year. As the driving force behind the growth of the Mao cult, Lin Biao inevitably accrued a level of political power and influence that left him in day-to-day control of a large swathe of China's government and party bureaucracy. His policy statements and speeches received extensive coverage in state media, while at rallies and political meetings he wielded political legitimacy flowing from his unique association with Mao. As Lin's status as Mao's chosen successor grew, so did his cult, with collections of his speeches and utterances printed to further study of his contribution to the Cultural Revolution's various ideological "breakthroughs". Eventually, Lin's personal prestige became too much for Mao. In 1971, he mysteriously died in a plane crash while fleeing with his family to the Soviet Union. Overnight, he vanished from the history books. 2 vols, quarto. Original brown card wrappers, title and five-pointed star to spines and front covers in red. Housed in custom red cloth folding cases. Wrappers marked and with some paste-staining, stain to margins of first and last few leaves in vol. II, contents otherwise clean. Overall a very good copy of this poorly produced book.

In den WarenkorbSecond edition, first printing, of this uncommon pseudo-"Little Red Book" which was not commercially distributed. Compiled in one of the hotspots of the Cultural Revolution, it was designed to establish Lin as China's foremost leader apart from the Chairman himself. Lin's growing power and cult of personality made him a force th…at Mao would eventually have to reckon with. The first edition of Quotations from Comrade Lin Biao was published in Wuhan in December 1967, only a few months after armed conflict among different Cultural Revolution organisations in the city had come close to descending into a state of civil war. For the organisations involved in the compilation of this work, it demonstrated their loyalty to the leadership in Beijing and courted the support of Lin and the People's Liberation Army. Shortly before the first edition went to press, a high-level document outlining preparations for the Ninth Congress of the Party stressed the need to increase Lin's prestige as Mao's heir-apparent and most ardent follower. This second edition quickly followed a few weeks later to answer this call, and included an additional preface heralding the widespread enthusiasm for the first edition. The present work states that "Comrade Lin Biao has provided the most comprehensive, most correct, most scientific, and most lofty analysis of our most, most beloved leader Chairman Mao and the ever-victorious Mao Zedong Thought. Comrade Lin Biao was personally cultivated by Chairman Mao. In the long experience of our Party, he is the most outstanding politician, thinker, military leader, and theoretician. He is the closest comrade-in-arms of Chairman Mao" (pp. i-iii). Following an obligatory picture of Mao, a second frontispiece reprints a famous image of Mao and Lin walking side by side - the "helmsman" with his hand-picked successor. Duodecimo. With 2 frontispieces, epigraph, title page and facsimile of Lin Biao's calligraphy printed in colour. Original red vinyl, title to front cover in blind. Contemporary ownership inscriptions to free endpapers. A few marks to vinyl, small dampstain to free endpapers, contents slightly foxed. A very good copy.

CONTAINED IN THE OR…IGINAL RED SMALL FOLDING PORTFOLIO . . * This is a fascinating group of black & white photographs showing Chairman Mao and Marshal Lin Biao. . The photographs also document the 11th PLENARY SESSION meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, August 1-12, 1966 at Beijing. . Significance: It approved the Decision of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Concerning the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, setting the course for the Cultural Revolution, which had started in May. The Politburo Standing Committee was expanded from 7 to 11 members, with Lin Biao as the single Vice-Chairman and Liu Shaoqi severely demoted. . On August 18th, 1966, the results of the Plenary Session meeting were made evident at the mass Beijing rally in Tiananmen Square, when Chairman Mao and Marshall Lin met, greeted, welcomed and sanctioned the beginning of the WENHUA DA GEMING [CULTURAL REVOLUTION]. Mao Zedong met with Song Binbin, a leader of the HONG WEI BING [RED GUARDS]. At that historic meeting a young girl put a "HONG WEI BING" arm band on Chairman Mao, thus the Cultural Revolution was under way, encouraged and officially approved by both Mao & Lin. . Soon thereafter chaos reigned through China as these energetic youths raved the country with purges, demolishment of old cemeteries, "Kangaroo Court" style trials of landlords, intellectuals and others who did not 'toe the revolutionary line." . *** THE COVER SLOGAN: This work is contained in a red-folded card, it is a small portfolio style format. The cover shows the famous and iconic calligraphic slogan written by Lin Biao serving the "Red Guards" during the WENHUA DA GEMING [Cultural Revolution]. The slogan reads: . "Women wei da de dao shi, wei da de ling xiu, wei da de tong shuai, wei da de duo shou, Mao zhu xi wan sui, wan sui ! Wan Wan Sui. Lin Biao 1976." . "OUR GREAT MENTOR, GREAT LEADER, GREAT COMMANDER LONG LIVE THE GREAT HELMSMAN CHAIRMAN MAO, LONG LIVE ! LONG LONG LIVE ! Lin Biao 1976." . This famous LIN slogan is the most often used in Mao's Hong Bao Shu [Little Red Books] as one of the frontispieces, or as cover to books, and also found on book slipcases. . It was the most ubiquitous and "iconic" slogan of the Hong Wei Bing [Red Guards] commonly found on such items as: shoulder bags, flags & banners, Mao pins & badges, scarfs, ceramics, and large numbers of Hong Bao Shu [Mao's Little Red Books]. and books by Lin Biao or books with his contribution. See more below vis-a-vis Lin Biao. . *** LIN BIAO [1907-1971]: . Lin became instrumental in creating the foundations for Mao Zedong's cult of personality in the early 1960s, and was rewarded for his service in the Cultural Revolution by being named Mao's designated successor as the sole Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of China, from 1966 until his death. . Lin was also the creator of the "HONG BAO SHU" ["LITTLE RED BOOK"] phenomenon consisting of any small book containing the words of either Mao or Lin, including slogans. These kinds of "HONG BAO SHU" were religiously carried by Hong Wei Bing to mass rallies in Tiananmen Square, on the march in the street and at during demonstrations, invoking these leaders words, and taunting citizens throughout China. . Often these books were contained in a small red cotton cloth shoulder purse that had yellow-stenciled slogans & images of these two leaders. . Lin & Chairman Mao, welcomed and greeted a mass rally in Tiananmen Square in 1966, by the HONG WEI BING [RED GUARDS]. These two great leaders sanctioned and endorsed the RED GUARDS to begin the WEN HUA DA GEMING [CULTURAL REVOLUTION], and were officially authorized to "cleanse soc.

Lin became instrumental in creating the foundations for Mao Zedong's cult of personality in the early 1960s, and was rewarded for his service in the Cultural Revolution by being named Mao's designated successor as the sole Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of China, from 1966 until his death. . Lin was also the creator of the "HONG BAOSHU" ["LITTLE RED BOOK"] phenomenon consisting of any small book containing the words of either Mao or Lin, including slogans. These kinds of "HONG BAOSHU" were religiously carried by Hong Wei Bing to mass rallies in Tiananmen Square, on the march in the street and at during demonstrations, invoking these leaders words, and taunting citizens throughout China. These two great leaders sanctioned and endorsed the RED GUARDS to begin the WEN HUA DA GEMING [CULTURAL REVOLUTION], and were officially authorized to "cleanse society" of counter-revolutionary thoughts, landlords, intellectuals, and any others who represented anything less than the new wave of revolutionary thoughts and actions. Chaos reigned for nearly ten years. . Chairman Mao assigned Lin Biao as the leader of the Hong Wei Bing, thereafter he focused his attention to leading and Bing, guiding these youths, who quickly got out of control, wreaking havoc throughout the country. . A young woman at the rally pinned a "HONG WEI BING" armband on Chairman Mao, thus showing Mao's support and authorization for the Cultural Revolution. This has become an iconic photograph. . Lin died in September 13, 1971, the exact events of this "Lin Biao incident" have been a source of speculation ever since. The Chinese government's official explanation is that Lin and his family attempted to flee following a botched coup against Mao. Others have argued that they fled out of fear they would be purged, as Lin's relationship with other Communist Party leaders. . Following Lin's death, he was officially condemned in September 1972, as a traitor by the Communist Party. He was labeled a major "counter-revolutionary force" of the Cultural Revolution, receiving official bl.

COMMONLY CARRIED BOOK BY HONG WEI BING [RED GUARDS] . . IN MASS RALLIES, STREET MARCHES & STREET DEMONSTRATIONS . . * This is a famous book, with Chairman Mao's "SUPREME INSTRUCTIONS" directed to the "Hong Wei Bing" ["Red Guards"] who were instructed to carry out Mao's ideas on how to activate the Great Proletariat Cultural Revolution. . The red vinyl cover of this book has the general title in gold: "WEIDA DE MAO ZEDONG SIXIANG WANSUI": "LONG LIVE THE THOUGHT OF MAO ZEDONG" . The work has three essays in all. The first and last are two versions of his famous "SUPREME INSTRUCTIONS" showing the corrected version, followed by the original version. . THE THREE ESSAYS: . a. "ZUI GAO ZHI SHI": "SUPREME INSTRUCTIONS" By Mao Zedong the corrected version with 31 chapters, 308p., followed by the original version at the end in 27 chapters, 309p. . b. "ZAI ZHONGGUO GONGCHANDANG DI JIU CI QUANGUO DAIBIAO DAHUI SHANG DE BAOGAO": REPORT AT THE 9TH NATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CHINA" By LIN Biao, Report on 1 April 1969, adopted on 14 April 1969. . c. "IN FU ZHUXI ZHISHI" "INSTRUCTIONS FROM VICE CHAIRMAN LIN," 27 chapters, 309p. with introductory page stating April 14, 1969. . d. The other is the most famous of all LIN Biao slogans in red calligraphic handwriting by LIN, printed under the Mao color photo frontispiece. It reads: . "Du Mao zhuxí de shu: Read Chairman Mao's books, Ting Mao zhuxí de hua: Listen to Chairman Mao's words, Zhao Mao zhuxí de zhishì banshì. Act according to Chairman . Mao's instructions, Zuo Mao zhuxi de hao zhanshì: And be a good soldier of . Chairman Mao" . It is noteworthy to say here, that in September 1971 after LIN was labeled a traitor, Mao's official orders were to expunge everything LIN Biao from the public, including posters, monuments, books and to expunge everything Lin from the historic record. It was commonplace after September 1971 for Red Guards & others to either pull out and discard anything LIN slogans, writings, photos & what not, to deface his name or otherwise deface & remove him from books, magazines and documents. . To that end, this RARE example still contains all of the LIN essays and slogans intact. A RARITY now. . FORMAT: This book has three separate title pages, each on stiff stock, red ink titles, with a green rule box outline. . *** ABOUT LIN BIAO: After LIN's death in 1971, by official order his name was officially ordered expunged from all books and public places. Most of these frontispieces and LIN's essays were pulled from books of this period since LIN and his family were labeled as traitors & "counter-revolutionary forces" by the Communist Party receiving official blame from the Chinese government. . *** LACK OF COLOPHONS IN EARLY CULTURAL REVOLUTION PERIOD BOOKS: . It was commonplace for books of the early part of the WENHUA DA GEMING [CULTURAL REVOLUTION ca. 1966] not to have proper or traditional colophons printed on the last page. In some cases [like this example] a 'postscript' was provided in place, it was often called "Bian hou fu ji" ["postscript"], see below: . *** BIAN H.
