In this work, not only does he devote his time to the Gregorian calendar, but he also focuses on various Arabic and Persian calenders. Towards the end of the book there is a chapter on the chronological mathematics. Beveridge?s works include a Latin treatise on the ?Excellency and Use of the Oriental Tongues, especially Hebrew, Chaldee, Syriac, and Samaritan, together with a Grammar of the Syriac Language,?, as well as a piece he published at Oxford in 1672 on a collection of apostlistic canons and decrees of the councils received by the Greek church, together with the canonical epistles of the fathers. These two huge folios of Greek and Latin are a monumental evidence of the compiler?s erudition. , Size : 8vo.
