A man goes to a tropical island to try and buy the land on behalf of his father, but when he falls for the current landowner's daughter his father arrives to try and break them up. Set on the fictional island of Ahmi-Oni, shot on location in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Santa Catalina Island, California. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus.

Vintage studio still photograph from the 1943 film musical. A loose remake of the 1937 film, "Love is News" with Tyrone Power and Loretta Young, "Sweet Rosie O'Grady" finds Betty Grable in London, seeking to better herself as an artist, which in 1943 means landing a wealthy duke for a husband. But newspaperman Robert Young has other plans for her love life. Remade once more as a comedy in 1948, as "That Wonderful Urge," with Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney. Shot on location in California. 10 x 8 inches. Good, with profuse manuscript annotations to the verso and three to the recto, although not obscuring the image. Stamped to the verso.

William Powell, David Wayne, Rory Calhoun, and Cameron Mitchell as their wealthy marks. Frank Powolny: A 20th Century Fox stalwart, captured the images, as well as, promotional shots for this movie. On the back panel are four stills three in color highlighting the action of the smash hit as well as mini movie poster reproduction. GOOD condition. Easy to display as it's hard plastic. If by some chance you have a 1980's CED player you have the 96 minute movie itself, as a bonus but I am selling the image as a photo artwork item.

The first of several films made by Twentieth Century-Fox in accordance with Franklin D. Roosevelt's "Good Neighbor" policy, in the hope of strengthening the influence of the US in Latin America. Set in New York and Argentina. Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped production No. 505, dated JUNE 10 1940. Distribution page present, stamped copy No. 5, with receipt intact. Title page present, dated June 10, 1940, noted as Final Script, with credits for screenwriters Darrell Ware and Karl Tunberg. 144 leaves, with last page of text numbered 142. An American soldier in occupied Japan after the conclusion of World War II joins his former love in putting on performances for the troops in an attempt to win her back. Red titled wrappers, noted as Revised Final on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 5 and production No. 314, dated April 18, 1950. An unpopular college student pushes for the establishment of a crew boat racing team in order to win back his ex-girlfriend by receiving a letter in a sport. Featuring Carmen Miranda's version of "Chattanooga Choo-Choo" and the debut of the classic song "I Had the Craziest Dream." Red titled wrappers, noted as Revised Final on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 47 and production No. 763, dated June 11, 1942. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. Revised Final script for the 1950 film. Bound presentation script belonging to producer Sol C. Siegel with his name in gilt on the front board. With 53 studio still photographs tipped in throughout, four pages of retakes and added scenes tipped in at the rear, as well as a number of manuscript annotations, primarily denoting the titles of various musical numbers. Based on the short story "Stork Don't Bring Babies" by S.K. Lauren, Grable and Dailey play a showbiz couple who discover, in successive order, that they cannot have children, that they can adopt children, and that they aren't really fit to raise children. But things get better, with the help of several musical numbers scored by Harold Arlen. Bound in green faux leather boards with gilt titles and rule, and marbled endpapers. Title page present, dated Dec. 1, 1949, noted as Revised Final, with credits for screenwriters Trotti and Binyon. 191 leaves, with last page of text numbered 130. Mimeograph duplication, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 12/21/19 and 1/5/50. Eight vintage full-color British front-of-house cards from the UK release of the 1955 US film. Before Sheree North, there was Betty Grable, the owner of the most beautiful legs in Hollywood, but both musical darlings star in this comedy about two dancing girls who hide at Bristol College while they attempt to locate the killer of a fellow performer. Marilyn Monroe was originally cast as "Curly" but refused the role, and Sheree North landed the part. Grable's final acting role. 8 x 10 inches. A hint of toning, and a tiny edge tear here and there, else Near Fine.

9.25 x 7.5, sepia tone photo of Betty Grable dancing with Joe Penner (with her right leg prominently featured), very minor wear, most of the margins cut off else a nice image, with newspaper article affixed to reverse (about Betty's death in 1973), plus ink notes on back. BOLDLY INSCRIBED "To L-----S------- With my very best wishes for your success. Sincerely. . . " AND SIGNED BY BETTY GRABLE. With COA (R&R).

Unbound. Zustand: Fine. A double weight black and white photograph of Betty Grable and Alyce Faye from the 1940 film *Tin Pan Alley*. Fine. The photo depicts a musical number from the film, *The Sheik of Araby*, where Grable and Faye are dressed as belly dancers. The film sees Faye and Grable in their only film together starring as sisters in a Vaudeville act.

She of the million-dollar insured legs, hero of G.I.s everywhere for her famed pinup, ex- of Jackie "The Kid" Coogan and bandleader Harry James, appeared in numerous films. Choice IPS, 8" X 10", n.p., 1960 March 1. Very good. Faint tape stain at each corner. Elegant glossy head-and-shoulders portrait, a classy glamour pose inscribed large and bold in blue ballpoint in a light area at upper left "Best of Luck / to / Donald M. Burnell / Betty Grable / 3-1-60." ("Grable" crosses over into a dark area of her hair, with less contrast.) Not a pinup, but a knockout nonetheless! Rather scarce.
