Colour and b/w illustrations by the author, full-page maps taken from the Ordnance Survey. Laminated boards. Ex-library copy in plain blue library binding with gilt spine titles. Usual s…tamps and faults. A guide to fishing in South East England, includes the Thames, Great Ouse and the streams of Suffolk, the Hampshire Avon and Sussex and Kentish waters. Excellent maps taken from the Ordnance Survey which show every lake, pond, stream and canal as well as the coast, with specific venues indicated. The first half of the book consists of essays by Venables on the various districts of the region. The twenty-five pages of maps are followed by a detailed key to the venues indicated, with information on trains and buses, ownership and permits with a sentence on the venue itself. And of course, many engaging illustrations by Bernard Venables in both monochrome and colour. .
