They chose a hermitage at the site of present-day Little Malvern, where others later joined them in seeking greater seclusion.The first written evidence cited for the Priory is a register at Worcester Cathedral recording Bishop Simon?s grant and confirmation that Little Malvern and its Church of St Giles should form an inseparable body with Worcester?s church. As Simon was Bishop of Worcester from 1125 to 1150, a church and convent existed at Little Malvern before 1150.
