Saint Laurent shot to stardom at an early age, becoming the head designer for Dior in 1957 at the age of 21 before starting his own fashion house in 1961. He became famous for the 'beatnik' look in the 60s, as well as creating the tuxedo suit for women. He was the subject of a 2014 French feature biopic, Saint Laurent.- This full-color coloring book includes many of his iconic designs, including original color photographs as a reference for Saint Laurent's sketches to be colored in; some dresses evoke ethnic influences as well as Pop Art, Picasso, Mondrian, and Matisse.- In 2013 Abrams published YSL Pret a Porter: Coloring, Activity and Inspiration Book, also published originally in France by Editions Glenat. This title, aimed at children, was premised on a specific St. Laurent collection in 1968, and had a high price point ($18.95). Some buyers may bring up the Abrams title, but our title is quite different (for adults, more about St. Laurent's entire career, lower price point).
