"It is hoped that this story will appeal not only to the members of the large family and the friends who knew [the subject], but also to those who are interested in the develolpment of the Anglo-Jewish community during the last half-century, and in the early history of the Zionist Movement." - Foreword. He later became president of the Maccabaeans. Bentwich was a founder of the British Zionist Federation in 1899. From 1916 to 1918 he served on the Zionist political advisory committee under Chaim Weizmann. Bentwich was a regular visitor to Palestine after 1921 and settled in Jerusalem in late 1929." - Wikipedia. [8]-232 p.
