Red cloth covers clean but spine ends rubbed and small dent front outer edge. Main problem however is that front joint has become loose, internal gutter split now cosmetically sealed but the textblock shakiness remains. Nonetheless an excellent reference/working copy of this historically important text providing position statements by leading psychological theorists; notable that psychoanalysis is not included and McDougall's 'Hormic' psychology is grouped with Morton Prince under heading 'Purposive Groups' (McD.'s 2 chaps are called 'Men or Robots' (I, II) (the word robot having been coined only 5 years previously by Czech playwright Capek this was quite trendy of him.) Murchison's name does not actually appear on t.p., but he authored the Preface.

Walter Bentley Woodbury (26 juin 1834 - 5 septembre 1885) est un photographe et inventeur britannique, pionnier dans son domaine. Il fut l'un des premiers photographes en Australie et aux Indes orientales néerlandaises (actuelle Indonésie). À l'origine de nombreuses inventions brevetées en photographie, son innovation la plus connue est la photoglyptie (ou Woodburytype), un procédé opto-mécanique de reproduction d'images photographiques. Dans le milieu des années 1850, Woodbury rencontra le photographe britannique James Page. En 1857, ils se rendirent tous les deux à Batavia (actuelle Jakarta) où ils arrivèrent le 18 mai 1857 et s'associèrent pour former le studio Woodbury & Page la même année. Pendant la majeure partie de l'année 1858, Woodbury & Page produisit des photographies dans l'Est et le centre de Java, dont d'importants clichés des temples en ruine près de Surakarta. Après leur tournée à Java, Woodbury et Page retournèrent à Batavia le 8 décembre 1856. Livres.
