Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Harry Bennet (illustrator). :: Bilingual, in Italian and English. :: Translated from the Moore-Toynbee text of the original Italian. :: Fourteenth century Italian poem in three parts, following the journey of Dante through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. :: Cased set of three volumes, bound in publisher's white cloth & printed illustrated paper-covered boards. Author, title, and volume name lettered upon spine in gold upon brown blocks, with publisher's emblem at the foot. Top edge of textblocks are burgundy-red. Octavo (9 1/4 x 6 1/8 inches; 234 x 155 millimeters). Pages unnumbered. Condition: Very Good+, in a Very Good but imperfect case. Books have faint wear, small splits to the cloth at the crowns, some toning to the spines, corners light rubbed. Case exhibits more wear, scuffs and chipping, small stains upon the label, and a split along the underside of the short edge - please see our photographs. Still sturdy and functional for protecting the books, though imperfect. As an aside, I would like to mention this is a lovely modern edition- well bound, quality paper, nice typeface, generous margins. Pleasant and very readable.
