Ownership name on front endpaper in blue ink says 'John Bush MD Vassalboro Maine, Great grandfather of Mrs. Margaret Bush Higgins Townsend Mass.' Title page dated 1812. xlvii + 411 pages. Paper toned from age, but text block tight, pages clean. A few illustrations in the text. Benjamin Rush signed the Declaration of Independence on behalf of Pennsylvania along with Benjamin Franklin, Robert Morris, George Clymer and a handful of others.
