Fulham, privately printed in 1920, two years following the First World War. In the original paper wraps. A collection of poems that focus on a soldier returning from the Western Front, including his love of France and his reaction upon returning home. Also includes a poem dedicated to war poet Rupert Brooke.Songs in the Darkness, a scarce anthology written and signed by Warrington writer Arthur Bennett, published by the local "Sunrise" Publishing Company in 1927. In the publisher's original purple cloth, with a frontispiece of the poet. Also includes an inserted obituary to the front paste down. An extensive set of poetry focused on the build-up and key events of the First World War. A cultural figure in his local Warrington, he was the local mayor in 1925 and 1926.
