hardcover. Zustand: Good. This is not the reprint but the original first ed. published by David McKay Company in 1946; 333 p., immaculate and unmarked--not ex-lib., no former owner's name--but with what looks like foxing on back pastedown and end page. Fine drawings and many period photos of great interest. Binding firm; sepia boards show remarkably little wear considering absence of d.j. but just faint speckled discoloration towards upper edge of rear board. Gilt lettering on spine and brown patch on front board still very clear.
