Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. End papers are more notably foxed. Text block edge is moderately foxed. Plates are bright and clear. Half title and frontispiece are detached but present. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Moderate tanning to spine. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering has become dull.
