Most plates with quite heavy foxing. There are 15mm tears to the blank margins of a couple of leaves.; Volume Two only of two volumes. First octavo edition, in the same year as the first quarto edition. [2 (title leaf)], 452 pages + 10 plates (including 4 double page plates). Rebound in 19th Century in half leather and marbled papered boards. Page dimensions: 204 x 125mm. Gilt title on spine: "BEECHEY'S / VOYAGES / II." The single page plates are facing pages 63, 145, 162, 167, 171, and 194. There are 3 double-page plates between pages 336 and 337. There is 1 double-page plate between pages 356-357. Title continues, "To Co-operate with The Polar Expedition: Performed in His Majesty's Ship Blossom. under the command of Captain F. W. Beechey, R.N. F.R.S. &c. in the years 1825, 26, 27, 28.".
