Bound volume containing all 51 issues of this English comic weekly for the year 1837. The issues are numbered #266 through #317. Each issue consists of four pages and is printed in double columns. Figaro in London was founded o…n Dec. 10, 1831 and ran until Dec. 31, 1838. It contained political comment, society gossip, verses and theater reviews as well as illustrations by Robert Seymour and others. The volume offered here also has three full-page engraved portraits. The issues themselves are in remarkably good condition with some minor browning and wear. The binding is quite worn with the front cover detached and the spine heavily chipped. Foreign postage extra on this large book.
