Original edition first published in French by Flammarion in 1960. In 1958, Frenchmen Jean-Claude Baudot and Jacques Séguéla embarked on a remarkable journey, driving a Citroën 2CV around the world. Over 13 months, they covered 100,000 kilometers, consuming 5,000 liters of fuel and wearing out 36 tires. Their route included shipping the car across the Mediterranean from Port Vendres, France, to Algeria; across the Atlantic from Cape Town, South Africa, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and across the Pacific from San Francisco, USA, to Yokohama, Japan.
