R' noted on the second leaf.The Reverend Sir Henry Bate Dudley was a British playwright of comic operas and a great friend of artist Thomas Gainsborough and actor David Garrick. However, he was also a clergyman and a magistrate, and worked in Ireland between 1804 and 1812 when this short address was written.The article puts forward his ideas about reforming the tythe system in Ireland.
