Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'Fortunes in Friendship' is a poignant collection of poetry that explores the enduring power of human connection and the simple joys of life. Written in the lyrical, accessible style characteristic of early 20th-century American verse, these poems capture the essence of small-town camaraderie, the beauty of the natural world, and the spiritual wealth found in genuine companionships. Barton Rees Pogue emphasizes the moral and emotional treasures that outweigh material riches, offering readers a nostalgic glimpse into a world where community and kindness are the cornerstones of a well-lived life. The collection features evocative imagery and rhythmic prose that reflect the daily experiences and quiet reflections of the American heartland. From the warmth of the home to the shared labor of the community, these verses celebrate the everyday bonds that tie individuals together.
