The strong tone of denunciation, which may not be out of place in treating with the determined opponent of Divine revelation, who sins with a high hand and brandishes the weapons of his unhallowed warfare, should be gently modulated when we meet with a doubter such as Asaph, whose every step is marked with difficulty and pain.'
