Vintage photograph of actor Freddie Bartholomew and his aunt Millicent Mary Bartholomew in 1937. Reference library stamp on verso, dated April 7, 1937, along with a provenance stamp. Bartholomew was an English-American child actor whose career was active mostly in the 1930s. His most well-known film roles were "Little Lord Faunt…leroy" (1936), "Captain Courageous" (1936), and "David Copperfield" (1935). This photograph was likely taken during a highly-publicized custody battle between Bartholomew's parents and his aunt. The court ruled in favor of his aunt in late 1937. 10 x 8 inches. Good, with two tears along the right edge, and two lightly rusted staples at the top margin.
