The brothers Albert and Thomas Bartholin was sons of the famous Danish polymath Caspar Bartholin. The work was finished by the elder brother Thomas when Albert died in 1663. Mollerus' complementary additions are very extensive. First edition of Schefferus' work published in 1680. The concluding part of the pagination with Mollerus' additions. With a printed dedication to Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie from the widow and descendants of Schefferus. Sweden's oldest bibliography proper, chronologically arranged and starting with the medieval codes of laws of the Swedish counties. Registered are also Swedish works by foreigners active in Sweden, the author's own, among others, and the printed works of Finlanders from Michael Agricola and Johannes Paulinus. When it comes to biographical works and dissertations defended outside of Sweden and Finland this bibliography is still not completely replaced.

Last unpaginated page contains a "Typographus Lectoris" which is an apology for not mentioning Niels Stensen in the bibliography. This leaf is often lacking. The brothers Albert and Thomas Bartholin were sons of the famous Danish polymath Caspar Bartholin. The work was completed by the older brother Thomas after the death of Albert in 1663. It is the first Nordic author bibliography and, on the whole, one of the oldest bibliographical works published in this part of the world.
