Hardcover. Zustand: Good or better. First edition. 8vo. [2], iii-xxii, [2], 25-266, [2] pp. Blue publisher's cltoh with red lettering and a red rule on the front board, red lettering on the spine. Lacks the dust jacket. Inscribed by the author to Jack Smith: "To Jack Smith who put bridge "on the air" and who has put himself in the hearts of many, including Shep Barclay". There were multiple crooners named Jack Smith, one of whom had a radio show in the 40's, but unfortunately this cataloger was unable to find a reference to the card game of bridge associated with either of the singers named Jack Smith. A few spots of fraying to the cloth, especially noticeable on the front board's bottom edge, a small sticker on the title page.
