Rezeption in Deutschland: In Deutschland hat die Shakespeare-Rezeption eine wechselvolle Geschichte, in der der Dichter für die verschiedensten Interessen in Dienst genommen wurde. Von großer Bedeutung war Shakespeare für die Literaturtheorie der Aufklärung bei Gotthold Ephraim Lessing (im 17.
