The volume concludes with a chapter on the "ethics of insanity" which contains considerations on marriage and children, the chance children have of inheriting these conditions from their parents, etc. An illuminating volume on the state of psychiatry and mental health treatment (and stigma) at the turn of the twentieth century. Light wear to the edges of the cloth, a contemporary name on the front pastedown.
