Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. 702 pages, a good hardback, extremely well bound since it has beern professionally rebound in red with a leather spine, this was all done at least 100 yrs ago & as it came to us via a library, they must have paid for it. Another seller of this rare first edition states their copy is 'lacking the map', well ours too does not have a fold out map.

Internally the original text pages are a little toned and spotted, with a stain affected the upper text block over pages 1 to 36 (but not affecting text at all). Text block a little fragile in places towards rear.
