The fully-developed doctrine of the Church of Rome is that either of the elements of bread or wine, or any part of them, becomes, after consecration, Christ Himself, and as such is to be worshipped as God. This explains why the Roman Church concentrates worship almost entirely upon the sacramental presence in the Mass. If the doctrine is not true, then all communicants of the Roman Church are guilty of idolatry.'
