August Most (1867- ) studierte in München, Greifswald und Breslau und Würzburg sowohl Philosophie wie Medizin und wurde 1892 in Würzburg promoviert. Er war Assistent am Pathologischen Institut in Breslau, am Bakteriologischen Institut in München und an der chirurgischen Abteilung des Josef-Krankenhaus in Breslau. 1900 wurde er leitender Arzt der Chirurgischen Abteilung, 1910 des St.Georg Krankenhauses in Breslau.
