Er studierte 1946 bis 1951 in Greifswald und Halle Mathematik und Physik und wurde an der Deutschen Staatsbibliothek in Ostberlin und an der Universitätsbibliothek Jena zum wissenschaftlichen Bibliothekar ausgebildet. 1959 übersiedelte er in die Bundesrepublik Deutschland und arbeitete zunächst als Fachreferent, seit 1967 als stellvertretender Leiter an der SUB. Vogt sind u.a. der Aufbau des Niedersächsischen Bibliotheksverbundes und die Planungen und Vorbereitungen und Planungen für den Neubau der SUB Göttingen zu danken. D3. (Zeit). Jpg.
