[6] + 378 + [6] pp. Illustrated with b/w plate drawings and photographs of sign designs, including 75 different alphabet types, and 6 pages of advertisements. Embellished title stamped on the front board in red, green and black. Half title stamped in black on the spine. Enclosed tear in the center of the half title page, and in the gutter on the last advertisement. Bookplate on front pastedown. Text block has browned around the edges and has the occasional fox mark. Generally the text block is clean, unmarked and square with a strong binding. The boards and spine are worn, soiled, rubbed, frayed, and sunned brown from the original grey. Small droplet of blue oil paint on front board. This copy has seen some use, but has plenty of life left in it. Still viable as a reference guide or as a collection addition.…
