First Edition. First edition. Softcovers. Exhibition catalog for a show that ran June 21 through August 10, 1969 at Milwaukee Art Center and then traveled to two other locations for additional dates. Volume 1 features text contributions by Tracy Atkins and John Lloyd Taylor and has biographical information, a photo of the artist, and illustrations of works: by Richard Artschwager, Jack Beal, Robert Bechtle, John Clem Clarke, George Deem, Richard Estes, Ralph Goings, Richard Joseph, Alex Katz, Gabriel Laderman, Alfred Leslie, Malcolm Morley, Lowell Nesbitt, Philip Pearlstein, Bob Stanley, Wayne Thiebaud, and Sidney Tillim. Volume 2 features essays by Sidney Tillim and William S. Wilson. Both books in near fine condition with some minor wear and with the ownership rubberstamp of photo historian and author Peter Bunnell on the verso of the front covers. A very nice set with an interesting provenance.
