Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'Blood Land caught my interest and I couldn't put it down! I felt anger at him for being so naïve and truly innocent. His story is very intriguing, heartfelt and very human. I normally wouldn't choose a book about 'Karma and the Supernatural', at the same time I would have missed out on an extraordinary thriller involving the most evil, greedy and deadly woman who slaughters her family for control of the land. J.D. Ash has lived more than one lifetime with her, and finally his karma with this woman has been paid in full! I literally couldn't wait to get into the next chapter! This will make a prenominal box office hit THRILLER!' Marty Smith, Ca Commercial Artist Blood Land a Karmic Journey is a fascinating and thrilling metaphysical ride into one of author J.D. Ash's past lives with a woman who chose evil and hatred over love. It is a story involving both the natural and supernatural planes. It describes how they intertwine to weave a bizarre tale on the natural plane, at the same time bringing him closer to his essence as a spiritual being. The experience adds to his awareness of karma and past life phenomena on the supernatural level. Blood Land a Karmic Journey shows how everyone has his or her own destinya path to follow. The key to life is to discover and understand the quintessence of this destiny. To do so allows an individual to discern the 'whys' for all that occurs to him or her in this life. Why certain behavior occurs. Why people do what they do. There are no accidents. There are no mistakes. There are no coincidences. Everything has purpose, which all leads everyone to his or her path in life. It was the application of the metaphysics to the daily events which unfolded over two years that prompted the telling of this story.…

This comprehensive checklist of non-marine molluscs from the mainland of Ecuador pre- sents data on 331 species (of which 5 are considered as nomen dubium), compiled from the literature, a subset of museum databases, and some verified observations from the internet. For all taxa the original reference is given and photographs of type specimens are provided if these could be located and obtained from museums. Where these were not available the original figure(s) have been reproduced. In the introduction, a brief history of research in Ecuador (including the Gal?pagos archipelago) is presented. This checklist may serve as a baseline document for further research. It is not intended to be a revision- ary work, although we have recognised the following new synonyms: Neritina intermedia (var. _) minima K. Miller, 1879 = Clypeolum latissimum (Broderip, 1833); Aperostoma (Aperostoma) olivaceum Bartsch & Morrison, 1942 = Incidostoma quitense (L. Pfeiffer, 1852); Hemisinus pazi Tryon, 1866 = Hemisinus guayaquilensis (Petit de la Saussaye, 1853); Bulimus cuneus L. Pfeiffer, 1854 = Protobeliscus fairmaireanus (Petit de la Saus- saye, 1853); Synapterpes (Zoniferella) riveti Germain, 1907 = Mesembrinus vesperus Jousseaume, 1887 = Zoniferella albobalteata (Dunker, 1882); Synapterpes bicingulatus Fulton, 1908 = Zoniferella bizonalis (Germain, 1907); Thaumastus thompsonoides Ober- wimmer, 1931 = Kara thompsonii (L. Pfeiffer, 1845). The need for further field work is illustrated by the fact that for 60 species, only imprecise localities are known, while for 168 species no modern (i.e. last 50 years) records are available. There are 179 species considered as endemics for the Ecuadorian malacofauna. For both the terrestrial and fresh- water species the ecoregions where they occur are indicated where possible. 290 pp., num. figs, br. gr. 8 [17 x 24 cm].…
