Zustand: Wie neu. Gr.8°. 125 Seiten. Originalkarton (= Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica , Supplement 281). Einband berieben, papierbedingt leicht gebräunt. - From the population which was registered at the Bureau for Homeless Men in Stockholm in 1969, a random sample of 202 Swedish citizens was selected. These are called probands throughout this book. The register was subdivided according to the age of the registered probands, and every tenth was selected from this register. If the tenth proband was found to be a foreigner, the man in immediate consecutive order was chosen. (Approximately 20 percent of the attendants to the Bureau were comprised of foreigners, mostly Finns, on more or less temporary stay in Stockholm.) The probands had on one or several separate occasions visited the Bureau during 1969. Information from Pastoral registers, Temperance Boards and Social Boards, the Special Penal Register for Drunkenness, the Penal Register and the National Insurance Board was collected for all the probands. Case records were obtained from various hospitals and from reports from the Swedish Archives of Criminology in those cases applicable. It was attempted to obtain as complete collection of information as possible, to be able to compile data concerning childhood and conditions of adolescence of the probands and their continued social development. The various register data was examined primarily up to January 1st, 1970 and then again up to December 31st, 1972 at which date the observation was considered terminated. Thus the observation period encompassed three years. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
