The first edition, complete in two volumes and published with the approval of the Victory Advisory Technical Committee. The text volume is illustrated with a colour frontispiece and fifty-seven monochrome plates; the second volume contains seventeen folding drawings. Collated, complete. A comprehensive technical and historical study of the construction, restoration and repair of Nelson"s flagship, H.M.S. Victory, tracing the ship from her construction at Chatham through her working life and subsequent preservation. Arthur Robert Bugler (1902-1981) rose from apprentice shipwright to dockyard constructor at Portsmouth and worked closely with the preservation of Victory. He was appointed OBE in the 1959 New Year Honours for his work as Constructor at Portsmouth Dockyard. An extensively illustrated record, particularly desirable complete with the separately housed suite of folding technical drawings. 4With forty five loose typed pages of L. G.
