A lovely topographical work on the city of Nottingham, recording and commemorating the changing landscape over the years. The artwork was created by Thomas William Hammond, an artist, originally a lace curtain designer, who was born in Philadelphia and moved to Nottingham at the age of four. This edition also features a foreword by Arnesby Brown and historical and descriptive notes by J. Holland Walker. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with only minor bumping and rubbing, and slightly more notable marking to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
