A good condition book in stiff maroon full leather covers. Wear to the spine and it's ends and a little to the book corners. The internal contents show a mild amount of tanning and age but also remain clean and well-bound, and the pages are stiff and unfaded. A very decent copy.

Sir John Stanhope Arkwright, the great-great grandson of Sir Richard Arkwright, was MP for Hereford between 1900-1912. In 1893 he was awarded the Newdigate poetry prize and throughout the First World War he toured the country giving recruitment speeches, writing many of these poems on those travels. Unsurpassable copy. Rear endpaper slightly creased and slightly toned o/w fine in fine grey printed d/w withe Skeffington symbol. No inscriptions, not price-clipped. Signedes.
