Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Dust Jacket Included. 1st Edition. First (only) edition. 8vo. Scarce, amusing novel from a vanity publisher. Drawings by Tricia Davis. Two copies. Trade edition in dust jacket. Accompanied by another copy, finely bound in full green leather with geometric decoration in gold, watered silk endpapers, black leather doublures front and back with a ballet dancer and a scene of the Mediterranean coast, respectively, in gold, with a paper and leather jacket over and a slipcase, panels of dust jacket bound in. Most likely commissioned by one of the authors as a personal copy. Binding signed with the binder's stamp "F. Véranès" at the base of the front doublure. The binding is of a very high quality, but we were unable to locate any information about the bindery. The spine of the leather jacket has faded to brown, but its presence left the green leather binding itself in excellent, unfaded condition. A unique addition to any ballet collection. The two authors, based on their dust jacket biographies, led an unconventional, peripatetic life in Europe. Signed by Author(s).
