Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 4-1/8" x 6-5/8", iv + 119pp + 1p Errata, printed and bound with the book. Printed on off white alkaline paper and bound in signatures in purple cloth boards with the title block stamped in gilt on the front panel and, presumably, spine, but this latter is completely obscured due to fading / age discoloration. Front panel suffers from numerous large blotches suggesting previous exposure to moisture, which however has left no structural marks. Otherwise, minor corner bumping (the top fore corner on the back is abraded) and general shelf wear to cover. Binding is gently cocked. Top edge is age discolored. A previous owner's name and date (Feb 7. 1877) in ink on front free end paper, and the bright yellow sticker of Philip, Son and Nephew, in Liverpool), is still affixed to the top left corner of the front paste down. The fore edges of the first two sheets are a bit crumpled / creased towards the fore edge. Pages are clean and bright and unmarked.
