The title continues, "Truely published verbatim, according to his letters, by Nich. Gorsan [sic] one of the said partners, for that he would his countrymen should be partakers of the many good Notes therein conteined, With divers Notes taken out of others the Authoures letters written to his said partners, sithenes the first Impression, well worth the reading." Beautifully rebound in brown marbled paper over boards, being a First Edition Thus, a reprint of the original edition but with new materials added, tips and spine backed in brown creamy leather, gilt dentelles around the marbled paper, with six raised bands at spine, gilt-tooled compartments including a short title and fleurs-de-lis. New, heavy endpapers front and rear. A most handsomely bound volume. At the half-title is written in blue ink, "To John Joseph O'Shaughnessy, Esq., this little volume is presented by John O'Donovan, June 18th, 1851," and then a subsequent inscription, dated December 11th, 1861, by John Joseph "to the very Reverend E.T. Collins, Vicar General Cincinnatti [sic] Ohio, by the aforesaid John Joseph/Chicago." Edited by Aquilla Smith, with an Introduction thereby. 31 pp. including Index.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
