"Responding to the interest displayed by millions of Moslems of many countries in the life of their fellow believers in the Soviet U…nion, a correspondent of the APN called upon several outstanding Moslems in the USSR and asked them to answer a number of questions". This was issued to convey the message the USSR respects freedom of religious worship and freedom from anti-religious propaganda under its Constitution, and raise awareness of the values and concerns of its Muslim population. Each booklet contains an interview by an unnamed APN correspondent with a prominent Muslim figure on a particular subject: (1) "Islam in the Soviet Union is independent of the State and is the equal of all other religions", with Mufti Ziyavut din Babakhanov, President of the Moslem Theological Administration for Central Asia and Kazakhstan; (2) "Moslems of the USSR want peace and friendship among peoples" with Kazi Abdullodjan Kalonov, member of the Moslem Theological Administration for Central Asia and Kazakhstan; (3) "The historic monuments of Islam are protected by the Soviet Union", with Kazi Ismail Mahdum Sattiyev; (4) "The faithful of Tilla Sheikh Mosque praise Allah", with Muniriddin Mahdum Isametdinov, Imam Khatib of the Tilla Sheikh Mosque.
