This work has been published multiple times, with notable editions appearing in the 17th century. (from Wikipedia): Saint Nicholas of Bari, also known as Saint Nicholas of Myra, Saint Nicolao, Saint Nicolò, or Saint Niccolò, Patara, March 15, 270 - Myra, December 6, 343), was a Roman Bishop and Bishop of Myra, venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church, and several other Christian denominations. His figure gave rise to the tradition of Saint Nicholas, who comes on the night between December 5 and 6, bringing gifts to children. This tradition also explains the overlap between Saint Nicholas and the modern figure of Santa Claus, whose English name is said to derive from Sinterklaas or Sint-Nicolaas-two names for the saint in Dutch, likely derived in turn from the Latin San[ctus] Nicholaus. It is no coincidence that Saint Nicholas is also traditionally depicted with a long beard and a red robe, in addition to being the patron saint of children. According to tradition, his relics are preserved in the basilica dedicated to him in Bari and in the Church of San Nicolò in Venice.
