An important work of Arab historiography by Amir Ibn Muhammad Ru'âmi, the Yemenite Secretary of State at the time of the Ottoman invasion, drawing upon his personal ex…periences as he led diplomatic negotiations with Ottoman leaders, particularly with Hasan Pasha, during the years from 988 to 993 (1580-85 CE). Hasan Pasha is considered one of the most successful Ottoman governors of Yemen.
