Ce n'est qu'avec l'augmentation d'actes de piraterie maritime au large des côtes somaliennes en 2008 que le droit de la piraterie maritime s'est à nouveau imposé à l'attention de tous. Cet ouvrage présente ainsi le cadre juridique national portant sur la piraterie maritime et les vols à main armée en mer dans différents États africains.
