Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - A dry wind sweeps across the open fields, carrying with it the hopes and hardships of a family bound to the land. Set against the stark backdrop of early twentieth-century America, this evocative work explores the realities of rural poverty and the relentless challenges of farm life. Within its pages, the rhythms and routines of a small Midwestern community pulse with quiet drama, revealing the complex interplay between human ambition and the unforgiving demands of the earth. Drawing from the tradition of American rural fiction, the narrative offers an unflinching look at the daily struggles faced by those who work the soil. The story unfolds with a keen eye for social realism, capturing not only the physical hardships of agrarian existence but also the emotional toll exacted by isolation and economic uncertainty. The characters, shaped by their environment and circumstances, embody the resilience and vulnerability of families striving to maintain dignity amid adversity. Every detail, from the parched fields to the intimate moments within the farmhouse, contributes to a vivid portrait of a world where survival is never guaranteed. The novel's Midwest setting is rendered with atmospheric precision, immersing readers in the dust-laden air and the constant tension between hope and despair. Through its exploration of family struggle and small-town drama, the narrative resonates with anyone drawn to stories of endurance, community, and the quiet heroism of everyday life. For those who appreciate early 20th century novels and the enduring power of American literary fiction, this work stands as a testament to a vanished era and its enduring questions. It speaks to collectors and classic-library enthusiasts alike, offering an authentic glimpse into the heart of a society shaped by agrarian hardship and the search for meaning in the face of relentless change. This book was out of print for decades and is now republished by Alpha Editions. It has been restored for today's and future generations. This edition is not just a reprint - it's a collector's item and a cultural treasure.…
